Summer Youth Programs
YOUTH SERVICE DAYS
Does your child have an interest in helping homeless animals in our community? Join us for one of our Youth Service Days! During this 2 hour program, we will work on special volunteer projects, take a tour of our facility, and learn all about Williamson County Animal Center. Activities and animal interaction will be highly dependent on Center needs and animals residing at our Center at the time of the Service day. Participation is free, but bringing an item from our wish list is encouraged. June’s Service Days are centered around “Kitten Season”.

Canine Advocates:
Is your child a dog lover? Join us for our Canine Advocates class, where we will discuss all things dog! By the end of this class, your child will be able to decode dog language and be a safety superstar!
The canine advocates class is ideal for 3rd-5th grade youth.
Class time: 2 hours
Parents are welcome to stay with their child for the duration of class.
We will be: decoding dog behavior through learning dog body language, make dog enrichment, and more!
Decode dog behavior - What are dogs trying to tell us and other dogs with their body language? How to become a dog safety superstar.
Youth will possibly be working directly with shelter dogs.
