WCAC is partnering with dozens of other pet shelters across the country to paw-ticipate in a national howliday and gives back to our furry friends!

For Deck the Howls, children (age 4-12) are invited to share the holiday spirit with adoptable pets by cozying up in their favorite pajamas to read holiday stories provided by the Williamson County Public Library System to our animals. The children benefit by practicing their reading skills in front of a non-judgmental audience and developing empathy to help make compassionate, responsible choices when interacting with animals in the future. There will also be an additional opportunity to decorate cookies, create crafts, take part in games for prizes and even take photos with the big man himself, Santa!
