Book Buddies Reading Program
Book Buddies is a program meant to benefit both shelter residents and readers; providing a non-judgmental space for children to practice their reading skills, and for cats to receive social interaction.
This program is for children 5-12 years old. An orientation is required to participate in the Book Buddies Reading Program.
During Book Buddies, readers will have the opportunity to read to our cat residents. At this time, we are only able to offer reading to cats. We have eight free-roaming cat rooms that children may go into to read.
In order to avoid congestion during peak hours, Book Buddies takes place at specific dates and times.
