Each year, up to one-third of the animals we care for spend time in a foster home. There are many reasons foster families are needed:
- An animal is too young or too old for adoption
- An animal is not healthy enough for adoption
- An animal needs time and special care to recover from a medical procedure
- An animal needs specialized socialization or behavior modification
The bottom line is that when you become a foster, you help increase the adoptability of a pet and alleviate capacity issues at the center. We give all of our foster families everything they need - food, medication, litter, crates, bedding and so on - at no cost.
We supply everything you need. You provide the care they need. They give you all the love!
Submit the application to become a foster parent and our Foster Coordinator will contact you to get you started. We also have a Fospice program for those who would like to give a pet the chance to live out their life in a loving home.
