Opened in 2001, Maggie's Bark Park, a Williamson County Facility, was the first off-leash dog park in the great state of Tennessee and is located right behind our facility.
Local residents Andrew and Karen Menzyk donated funds to establish this wonderful park in memory of their Bearded Collie, Maggie, who was a member of their family for nearly 15 years. Their primary goal was to increase public awareness of the adoptable animals and other services provided at Williamson County Animal Center.
In 2019, local high school senior and Girl Scout Rachel Latourette made improvements to the park as part of her Gold Award. Broken and worn boards were replaced and park features received a new coat of paint. Read more about her project
