Overview


The Williamson County Animal Center is a public open-intake shelter serving the citizens of Williamson County, Tennessee. The shelter is a county tax-funded agency caring for domestic animals, and was recogized with an achievement award from the National Association of Counties (NACo).

The shelter’s Mobile Adoption Center (MAC) is used for adoption events held away from the shelter.

Indoor Facility

The facility consists of a 33,000 square foot building with the following features:
  • Adoption area
  • Cat and dog visitation rooms
  • Free-roaming rooms with enclosed catios for cats
  • Intake services
  • Community lecture room
  • Warming kitchen
  • Isolation and quarantine areas
  • Dog training area
  • Testing area
  • Veterinary office and surgical suites
  • Volunteer center
  • Office space
  • Drive-through bay area for trucks
  • Grooming room
  • Photo studio
  • Laundry room
  • Large storage area.

Outdoor Facility

 Outside are a variety of amenities including:
  • 2 public dog parks (opening date TBD)
  • Large dog run for exercise
  • Wooded trail
